Nonlocal transport phenomena in Weyl metals beyond the mesoscopic scale

چکیده
Axion electrodynamics governs electromagnetic properties of Weyl metals. Although transmission and reflection measurements light have been proposed to confirm the axion electrodynamics, there are still lack theoretical proposals for macroscopic nonlocal transport phenomena in In this paper, we present time reversal symmetry-broken (TRSB) Solving numerically, show that such arise from negative longitudinal magneto-resistivity (NLMR), combined with anomalous Hall effect (AHE) electrodynamics. Since occurs beyond mesoscopic scale, conclude these nothing do Fermi arcs, regarded be clear evidence bulk.

Mesoscopic transport phenomena in ultrashort channel MOSFETs
Mesoscopic transport phenomena in the low temperature behavior of MOSFETs with channel lengths down to 30 nm are demonstrated. N-channel MOSFETs show reproducible unexpected periodic transconductance oscillations in the drain current ID versus gate voltage VG characteristics. The oscillations, present from the sub-threshold region up to strong inversion, are reproducible from sample to sample a...
متن کاملAnomalous transport phenomena in Weyl metal beyond the Drude model for Landauʼs Fermi liquids
Landau's Fermi-liquid theory is the standard model for metals, characterized by the existence of electron quasiparticles near a Fermi surface as long as Landau's interaction parameters lie below critical values for instabilities. Recently this fundamental paradigm has been challenged by the physics of strong spin-orbit coupling, although the concept of electron quasiparticles remains valid near...
متن کاملLarge-scale mesoscopic transport in nanostructured graphene.
Through exponential sample-size scaling of conductance, we demonstrate strong electron localization in three sets of nanostructured antidot graphene samples with localization lengths of 1.1, 2, and 3.4 μm. The large-scale mesoscopic transport is manifest as a parallel conduction channel to 2D variable range hopping, with a Coulomb quasigap around the Fermi level. The opening of the correlation ...
متن کاملNonlocal Coulomb drag in Weyl semimetals
Nonlocality is one of the most striking signatures of the topological nature of Weyl semimetals. We propose to probe the nonlocality in these materials via a measurement of a magnetic-field-dependent Coulomb drag between two sheets of graphene which are separated by a three-dimensional slab of Weyl semimetal. We predict a mechanism of Coulomb drag, based on cyclotron orbits that are split betwe...
